Champaign County Department of Job & Family Services (CCDJFS) works to ensure that the children of our community have safe and stable homes.
Anyone may make a report of suspected child abuse or neglect to CCDJFS by calling 937-484-1500. If you believe a child is in immediate danger of serious harm call 911. In non-emergency situations reports of suspected child abuse, neglect or dependency can be made by phone, in person, or in writing. After hours, Children’s Services can be accessed for emergencies by calling the Champaign County dispatch center at 937-653-3409 and asking for the on-call Children’s Services worker to be paged.
Upon receipt of reported concerns the agency makes a determination if intervention is needed. If intervention is needed the agency will determine the appropriate level of intervention and will begin to assess the family situation. The focus of the Children’s Services unit is to maintain family stability as well as to assure the safety of children.
